Rooted in the heart of Washington, D.C., Steve & Kate's Camp has championed children's self-guided learning since 1980. They stand by the philosophy that trusting kids enables them to trust themselves. As children navigate the journey of trying, failing, and ultimately learning on their own, they grow to trust their judgment and face an ever-evolving world with creativity and certainty. In our Washington, D.C. camp, children are afforded the freedom to explore a diverse range of activities in real-time. Whether it's sewing, stop-motion animation, music, coding, sports & rec, makers crafts, or baking, they get to make the call on what they want to do and how long they want to do it. This summer, families in D.C. can purchase any number of days they wish and utilize them as needed. There's no requirement for weekly reservations - simply show up when you can! For those needing more comprehensive support, a Summer Pass covering the whole season is available. If plans change for any reason, any unused Passes will be fully refunded at summer's end by Steve & Kate's Camp. Welcoming children aged 4–12, the camp includes all meals and snacks as well as all-day care from 8am to 6pm.
