About

Learning, Practicing and Teaching Music has always been my passion. I enjoy teaching music for its value, its importance to culture and its impact on the society, especially on the young minds. I love teaching what I am passionate about and it helps me to connect with the students and bring out the best in them. My main goal in teaching music to kids, besides developing them into good musicians, is to inculcate discipline and mold them into good students, help develop them into well-rounded adults with empathy, creativity and make them a better person in life. Music has a profound impact on life. For kids, music enhances structural and functional plasticity of the brain as proven by cognitive neurosciences, it enhances cognitive performance, encourages creativity and improves focus and accuracy. For adults, music can be a source of comfort and soothing, it can improve mood and reduce stress, it helps get in touch with one's own emotions, makes them to be more creative, focused and productive. Saptaswara School of Music caters to the above overtones by offering music lessons to both kids and adults. The school emphasises and maintains a small class size as it strongly believes that each student deserves individual attention.
