Founded in 2005, the New Mexico School of Music is home to over 750 students of all ages and musical abilities. Our facilities are specifically designed to create a quality learning atmosphere and include a recital hall, comfortable teaching rooms and a cozy waiting areas. We strive to make the study of music engaging, fulfilling, and fun for our students while providing the highest level of instruction through a well-structured and comprehensive approach. Our outstanding instructors are all university-trained artists who combine excitement, energy and new ideas with their exceptional teaching skills. We want all of our students to come away from their lessons with a positive experience and love of music. Teaching music is much more than learning how to read notes or play a few pieces...it is an opportunity to expand students’ life skills: communication, creativity, patience, discipline, and self-confidence.
