Colorado State University Extension in Jefferson County provides practical information and educational programs for citizens who have concerns and questions about horticulture, consumer and family sciences, natural resources, environmental education, native plants and youth development, particularly 4-H. A cooperative effort of Jefferson County, Colorado State University and the U.S. Department of Agriculture the staff and programs housed in our local office benefit citizens of Jefferson county in many ways. Each year, thousands of citizens ranging from elementary aged youth to senior citizens attend educational programs, have questions answered and participate as volunteers. Jefferson County Extension is a division of Jeffco Parks. Extension programs are available to all without discrimination. A local Advisory Committee, appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, provides input and guidance to ensure that Jefferson County Extension meets the needs of local citizens. Meetings of the Advisory Committee are open to the public and are held quarterly. For more information about the Advisory Committee and copies of approved minutes.
