Advanced Learner Programs are in place in all elementary schools. • Advanced Placement courses are offered at all high schools and are popular college-preparatory options for students. • The Global Community Citizenship course, which provides opportunity to find ways to help our students engage in civil discourse and broaden their awareness of the vast, multicultural communities in which they live, is a graduation requirement for all students beginning with this year’s ninth-graders. • More than 11,000 students participate in the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program at 44 elementary, middle, and high school sites in Anne Arundel County.
